The Story
Holtsmark Golf is an 18-hole par-72 woodland and parkland course with low ridges and deep ravines in the Lier delta, approximately 20 km from Drammen and 35 km from Sandvika.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones II. Established 1998, opened 2005. The course measures 6,298m from the back tees (tee 63) and appeals to players of all ages and skill levels. The designer highlights the five par-3 holes and the two long par-5 holes (holes 7 and 18) as particularly successful. The 18 holes are sheltered from one another, often giving an exclusive feeling of having the course to oneself. Named Norway's best course in 2020 by GolfDigest. The clubhouse is Sylling's oldest school building from 1859 with pro shop, large common room, fully equipped kitchen, excellent locker room facilities, and a large sheltered terrace with views of the greens on holes 6 and 18. Additionally a 9-hole course "Eplehagen" (3 par-4s + 6 par-3s) that is open and relatively flat, ideal for beginners.

Weekend/public holidays 18-hole: 990 kr. Junior 50% all days. Autumn green fee 10 holes from 15:00: 500 kr (from 1 Sept). Members without free play: 50% discount. Junior members: 200 kr all days. 9-hole (Eplehagen): weekend 300 kr, junior 150 kr. Free for members (except Green Fee membership).
